Coach Joel Myers
Joel has been competing in running and multisport events for over 10 years. He is an Ironman finisher and a qualifier for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, and has competed in running races and triathlons of all distances. Joel is a USA-Cycling certified coach as well as a certified sports nutritionist. He combines racing experience with a passion for the sport to motivate athletes, and to ensure that they are prepared for every aspect of their goal race. He has trained extensively with heart rate and pace, and is currently training with Powertap on the bike.
My Philosophy - Every athlete is unique, with different needs, so training programs need to be tailored to suit the athlete's abilities and goals. My job is to take the time to understand each athlete, and design a program that not only guides them to success, but allows them to enjoy the sport as well. I focus on building a solid routine that incorporates quality training and optimal recovery. Most importantly, we are all part-time triathletes with jobs, families and commitments, so constructing a training plan that fits seamlessly into the athlete’s life is paramount.
